Allegiant Air will soon offer non-stop flights to Denver from Lehigh Valley International Airport.

HANOVER TWP., Pa. — Allegiant Air on Monday announced a new nonstop route from the Lehigh Valley to Denver, with service beginning in June.

“We believe this will be a popular route, offering visitors from the East Coast a chance to visit Colorado for summer vacations via Allegiant’s brand of affordable, nonstop service,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant senior vice president and chief revenue officer, in a news release.

The new route will fly from Lehigh Valley International Airport to Denver International Airport, with flights beginning June 15 with one-way fares as low as $59.

It’s the ninth nonstop destination from Allegiant out of the Lehigh Valley, including:

  • Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood, Florida
  • Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
  • Nashville, Tennessee
  • Orlando Sanford, Florida
  • Punta Gorda, Florida
  • Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida
  • Savannah/Hilton Head, South Carolina
  • St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Florida

Overall, LVIA will now offer 15 nonstop destinations with four major airlines. It's also not the only upgrade the airport will see this year.
Work continues on construction of a $29 million terminal connection and security checkpoint expansion at the airport in Lehigh County.

When the connector is complete, the airport’s TSA checkpoints will all move to a new above-ground walkway, with two additional areas to screen passengers and move them through the airport faster and on their way to their destination.

Denver is the first nonstop route added from the airport in several years.

“Known for its proximity to the Rocky Mountains, Denver is an exciting vacation destination that will have plenty of interest from air travelers across the Lehigh Valley,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, executive director of the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

"Whether it’s skiing, hiking, Larimer Square, or the arts/culture district, there’s plenty of attractions and family activities in the Mile High City,” said Stoudt. “Being able to offer this air service further west is really exciting for us. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.

The introductory one-way flights must be purchased by Feb. 21, 2023, for travel by Nov. 12, 2023, the release said. Prices displayed include taxes, carrier charges and government fees, but optional baggage charges and additional restrictions may apply.
