BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Ellen Millard-Kern, chief of staff for former Sen. Pat Browne, has joined Lehigh Valley Public Media (LVPM) as vice president for community engagement.
Kern worked 17 years as top aide for Browne, R-Lehigh/Bucks, who was nominated this month by new Gov. Josh Shapiro as state secretary of revenue.

In her new role, Kern will lead LVPM’s community relations efforts to expand its outreach to the public, community organizations, elected officials and community partners.
“We are thrilled that Ellen has joined our organization,” said LVPM CEO Tim Fallon in a news release. “She is an accomplished community leader who understands the important role that public media plays in our society – making the Lehigh Valley better tomorrow than it is today.”
Kern has lived in the Lehigh Valley for more than 35 years and previously worked as vice president of development for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
