UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - A new fitness facility in Lehigh County is working to help participants discover their light “in mind, body and soul.”
Vibe Power Yoga, offering yoga and other programs for all fitness levels, held a soft opening Saturday, Oct. 8, at 7525 Tilghman St., Suite 107, in Upper Macungie Township.

- The studio offers one-hour, heated and non-heated fitness classes, including power yoga and “ride & release” (spin and yoga)
- Studio features include a shower, supervised children's room and state-of-the-art sound system
The studio, adjacent to Rush Veterinary Urgent Care in the Iron Run Center, invites community members to “glow from within” as they enhance their overall well-being.
The facility is designed to offer a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere, with classes to allow people to let go of pressure, stress and expectations.
Owner Gabrielle Jackson and other instructors tell participants to set their intentions for the practice.
“Some studios say ‘good vibes only,’ but I don’t think that’s the case all the time,” Jackson said. “You can’t always have good vibes. But if you come to your mat and release those bad vibes, you hopefully can leave with good vibes.”
“So, discover your light means finding your light internally – letting go of any judgment or comparisons.”
Vibe offers a variety of one-hour, heated and non-heated classes, including power yoga, intro to power yoga and “ride & release” (spin and yoga), which Jackson said can contribute to better posture, improved mental health and other benefits.
The renovated, 1,400-square-foot space features Star Trac spin bikes, infrared heaters for hot yoga, a Sonos sound system and a shower for post-workout rinses.
As a mother, Jackson also found it important to build a supervised children’s room. The room is open weekday mornings and if there's demand, it will be staffed at other times as well, Jackson said.
“Supervised childcare is important as well as extremely popular,” said Jackson, who has a four-year-old son, Kashton, and is expecting another child in a few weeks. “A lot of people are asking for it, especially now that a lot of parents are working from home and juggling a lot more.”
Vibe’s yoga classes accommodate up to 25 participants, while “ride & release” classes are limited to nine participants (may increase as the studio acquires more bikes).
In addition to adult programs, the studio also offers a “little yogis” class (recommended for ages 2-5), featuring live music, stories and props; and “baby & me yoga” class for the youngest children.
“Anybody can come with the baby – dad, mom, uncle, aunt, grandparent,” Jackson said. “The classes allow caregivers and pre-walking children to have some bonding time.”
Classes, which can be booked online at vibepoweryoga.com, start at $18 for a drop-in. There are also variously priced class packs and plans, with an opening promotion featuring $49 per month for unlimited classes.

Offerings will grow in the coming months, Jackson said.
“Eventually we’d like to do other spin classes, maybe one with light weights or a bootcamp,” Jackson said. “We’d also like to work in gentle yoga or yin yoga.”
Jackson, who lives five minutes away from the studio in Upper Macungie, participated in gymnastics growing up and said she eventually fell in love with yoga as well.
The yoga mat became a place where she could find comfort and peace regardless of what was going on in her life at the time, she explained.
“I lived in Lancaster for about 10 years before moving to the Lehigh Valley, and I had a studio there that I absolutely loved,” Jackson said. “After moving here, I just couldn’t find one that would accommodate all of my needs, with the heat, childcare and that feeling of being in safe space. So, I built it.”
Vibe, offering morning, afternoon and evening classes, prides itself on cultivating kindness and giving back to the community.
A community class, which is donation based, will be held once a week to benefit a local charity or nonprofit organization.
“We want to do our part and give back to the community, but we also want to give people the opportunity to come and try us for an affordable price, whatever that may be in their budget,” Jackson said.
