BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A new wedding-planning facility is helping couples make beautiful visions of their big day a reality.
Lehigh Valley Wedding Café, connecting engaged couples with wedding professionals in various fields, will hold a grand opening celebration 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at 1403 Center St. in Bethlehem.

The event, held in conjunction with the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce, will feature local music, complimentary refreshments and a 6 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“What we’re doing is building a collective of wedding professionals from all different realms – entertainment, photography, videography, hair and makeup, etc.,” owner Don Mayock said.

For example, we just partnered with a fireworks company, and we even feature a custom ceremony music service, where someone can write a ceremony piece for you.”
Lehigh Valley Wedding Café, which has a tagline of “your dream wedding starts here,” lets couples visit its website, lvweddingcafe.com, to specify the services they need.
They can check boxes for venue, photographer, videographer, DJ, live music/bands, event lighting, photo booth, hair and makeup, officiants, catering, cakes and personalized items and giveaways.
Some partners of Lehigh Valley Wedding Café include Buzzwell Catering; Custom Cakes by Adele; Creations by Lady Zig, specializing in customized and personalized crocheted creations; and Elliptical Video, featuring a Federal Aviation Administration-licensed and an insured drone pilot that can bring a fresh perspective to your wedding day.
Clients can use the business for as many parts of their wedding as they want.
“We cover every aspect of the wedding business,” Maycock said. “So we’re really a planning resource for engaged couples to get the wedding dream team that can execute their vision.”
As a DJ, Mayock has been involved in the wedding services industry for more than 15 years.
His entertainment business, Moments & Memories, offers personalized DJ services that include ceremony sound and music, master of ceremonies/day of coordination, TV totems for slideshows and videos, reception dance parties, sparkler send-offs and more.
“We do so much more than just music,” Mayock said.
Clients and vendors visiting Lehigh Valley Wedding Café enjoy complimentary local beverages.
Coffee, for example, is from Bethlehem’s Toasted & Roasted, which also can make favor-sized coffee bags for weddings.
“We have a really nice coffee bar,” Mayock said. “We’ve also partnered with local distilleries, breweries and wineries to feature their products, which can then in turn be purchased if someone is having a backyard wedding and needs to supply their own alcohol.”
