BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A woman who died in a high-speed crash on Stefko Boulevard on Sunday was identified as a 24-year-old from New York City.

Leanna Farraj, of Brooklyn, died of multiple blunt force injuries in the one-car crash at Stefko Boulevard and Bayard Street, said Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek. He ruled the manner of death as accidental.

It happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Stefko Boulevard.

Investigators say speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash as the car hit utility poles.

Bystanders had already removed Farraj from the vehicle by the time police arrived and were providing first aid, according to police. They said she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second person in the vehicle had to be removed with help from the Bethlehem Fire Department. That person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive, police said.

They are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Bethlehem Police Department at 610-865-7000 or BethlehemPolice@bethlehem-pa.gov.

Anonymous information can also be provided to the Bethlehem police tip line at 610-691-6660.
