BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Ramble On!
The National Museum of Industrial History, in partnership with the Reading & Northern Railroad, will host the annual Anthracite Railroad Ramble on Wednesday, July 31.
The 65-mile, day-long train ride will depart from the new station in Nesquehoning, Carbon County, to the Vosburg Tunnel, a 3,900-foot former Lehigh Valley Railroad tunnel north of Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, that was completed in 1886.
Beginning at 9 a.m., guests will ride aboard two open-window Budd rail diesel cars.

Ticket sales benefit the museum’s ongoing mission.
“We are grateful to work with the Reading & Northern Railroad on our annual Anthracite Railroad Ramble,” NMIH historian Mike Piersa said.

Guests can bring their own lunch or pre-purchase a box lunch to eat on the train.
Light snacks and drinks will also be available for sale (cash only) on the train.
Seating is limited. Guests must arrange their own transportation to and from Nesquehoning.
