BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Bethlehem officials are cautioning spectators for PeepsFest to steer clear of some portions of Payrow Plaza because of ice.
A slew of space at 10 E. Church St. was found to be overrun with ice Tuesday morning, making for an opportune spot for someone to slip as crowds congregate to watch the fireworks display for New Year's Eve.
City officials have confirmed that the area will be cordoned off with caution signs, and officials will be stationed to direct pedestrian traffic to safer paths.Bethlehem city officials

Snow squalls and frigid temperatures quickly cast a slick coat of ice across many areas in the Lehigh Valley this week, with whipping winds only contributing to the problem.
That's especially concerning for the Payrow Plaza space, as it is known to draw significant crowds for the fireworks that cap off PeepsFest, which runs from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
There are fireworks displays both days about 5:45 p.m.
And while there still will be some safe spots to witness the show, those who can’t make it out to the sold-out event still can watch a stream of the show online.
