BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Two people found dead of gunshot wounds at a city home on Saturday died in an apparent murder-suicide, according to the Northampton County coroner.
Coroner Zachary Lysek released the ruling Tuesday night.
He identified the victims as Celeste L. Kistler, 78, and her husband, Larry A. Kistler, 80, of the 700 block of Redfern Lane.
Lysek ruled that Celeste Kistler was fatally shot in a homicide and that Larry Kistler turned the gun on himself in a suicide.
Lysek said no further information would be released.
Bethlehem police went to the home shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday after being asked to conduct a welfare check.
