ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The music and magic of the Met is coming to the Lehigh Valley.
One of Mozart's most beloved works, "Die Zauberflöte" or “The Magic Flute,” will be broadcast at 12:55 p.m. Sunday, June 11 at the Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. 6th St. in Allentown.

The showing is part of the Metropolitan Opera's 0"Live in HD series," bringing opera to theaters nationwide.
At Miller Symphony Hall, the performance will be streamed on the big screen in the main concert hall.
In the Met's version, Mozart's fairytale receives a modern-day twist thanks to Director Simon McBurney, who incorporates projections, sound effects and stage acrobatics to match the drama of the fable.
Nathalie Stutzmann conducts the Met Orchestra. As per her request, the pit will be raised to make the musicians visible to the audience and allow interaction with the cast.
The cast includes soprano Erin Morley as Pamina, tenor Lawrence Brownlee as Tamino, baritone Thomas Oliemans in his Met debut as Papageno, soprano Kathryn Lewek as the Queen of the Night, and bass Stephen Milling as Sarastro.
