Suds n' Roses, inspired by the success of West Bethlehem's concert series, Live in the Garden, is a new Bethlehem event that takes place on Saturday, May 27 this year.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Bethlehem Chamber has announced its newest event, Suds n' Roses, which is set to debut in the Bethlehem Rose Garden on Saturday, May 27.

  • Suds n' Roses, a Bethlehem Chamber event, will feature local breweries displaying their products to guests who are 21 and older
  • The festival will take place in the Rose Garden and will include live music, food trucks and artisans
  • Suds n' Roses was inspired by the success of Live in the Garden, a West Bethlehem concert series, which happens on Saturdays from May 6 to July 1

Suds n' Roses, which runs from 2:30-5:30 p.m., will be a platform for local breweries to showcase their products to guests who are 21 and older.
Breweries that are featured are as follows:

  • Birthright Brewing Company
  • Bru Daddy's Brewing Co.
  • Country Club Brewing
  • Fegley's Brew Works (Bethlehem)
  • Five Maiden's Cider
  • Lost Tavern Brewing
  • New Belgium Brewing Company
  • Seven Sirens
  • Sherman Street Beer
  • Troegs Brewing
  • Weyerbacher Brewing Company

In addition to beer sampling, the event will host live music, food trucks, artisans and more.
Tammy Wendling, senior vice president of Bethlehem Initiatives for the Greater Lehigh Valley, explained that the idea for Suds n' Roses came about because of the recent brewery boom in Bethlehem and the surrounding areas.

"Since so many breweries have popped up in the past few years, we felt it was time to have a sampling event in the Rose Garden," Wendling said in a news release.

Following the sampling event, Live in the Garden will start at 6 p.m. It's an all-day event to kick off Memorial Day weekend, and we couldn't be more excited.
