BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Slainte!

Officially, St. Patrick's Day occurs on Sunday, March 17, but bars and restaurants in the Lehigh Valley will celebrate all week long with drink and food deals.

For the 21-and-over crowd, there also will be pub crawls that feature live music and Irish food and drinks.

Boozy in Bethlehem

Beth-lum Go Bragh! Beer Trail allows for attendees to sample beers from local breweries at a handful of shops and restaurants on Main and Broad streets.

The event is presented by the Downtown Bethlehem Association.

Stops include: Luxe Apparel; Christmas City Spirits; Clusters Handcrafted Popcorn; Edge Restaurant; Fegley’s Bethlehem Brew Works; Franklin Hill Vineyards; Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop; Lost Tavern Brewing; McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub & Whiskey Bar; Musselman Jewelers (with Country Club Brewing); Seasons Olive Oil and Vinegar Taproom; Steak & Steel Hibachi, Tapas on Main and Urbano Mexican Kitchen & Bar.

When: Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 9

Cost: Passports are $45 each. Must be 21 or older to participate.

Fundraiser for St. Paddy's parade

The West End Pub Crawl features stops at nine bars and restaurants on Allentown's West End.

Attendees may buy souvenir shamrocks at each establishment to raise money for marching units and bands in the Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 17.

Among the stops: Volpe's Sports Bar (926 W. Tilghman St.); Cuzin’s Pub and Grill (2027 W. Tilghman St.); Ringer’s Roost (1801 W. Liberty St.); The Shanty on 19th (613 N 19th St.); Tavern on Liberty (2246 W. Liberty St.); Sleepy Cat Urban Winery (1840 W Allen St.); Greg’s West End Saloon (839 W. Tilghman St.); MainGate Nightclub (448 N. 17th St.); and Stooges Bar & Grille (2101 Liberty St.).

When: 5 p.m. Saturday, March 9

Cost: Free to attend (pay for drinks as you go). Attendees can start the crawl at any participating bar. Scheduled events include romping bagpiper bands and other live music.

Going Green

Wear green and other festive attire to the St. Patrick's Pub Crawl in downtown Easton.

The stops include: Mother’s Bar & Grille, Colonial Pizza & Spaghetti House, The Bayou Easton, The Lafayette Bar, Skeggy’s Axe House, Sogo, The Sand Bar, Black & Blue, Pearly Baker’s Alehouse and Rivals Sports Bar & Restaurant.

When: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9

Cost: Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door or the day of online. Must be 21 or older to buy.

Registration begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Rivals Sports Bar, 5 Lehns Court.

Participants can begin crawling as soon as they are registered.

Tickets include access to drink specials and VIP entry to the after-party at Rivals Sports Bar featuring live music and food.

Shamrock strolls

PubCrawls.com will hold two crawls in Bethlehem to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

A Bethlehem Shamrock Stroll Bar Crawl will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 16 and 4 to 11 p.m. Sunday, March 17.

For both crawls, registration will take place at New Street Pub, 728 N. New St.

Attendees will be given a digital map to scan on their phones with access to drink and food deals.

Patrons are encouraged to wear their best green attire to celebrate all things Irish.

The pub crawls happen at five venues with tickets for two free drink shots, a free beer koozie and a shot glass necklace.

Tickets are $14.99 per crawl.

A two-day pass also is available for $19.99.
