A bit of history
Throughout the weekend, families will be encouraged to take part in historical tours of the farmhouse, colonial garden and summer kitchen.
Those with small children — and big imaginations — are encouraged to take part in the Tasha Tudor StoryWalk trail, featuring her picture book “First Delights.”
An early American lifestyle icon, Tudor’s books focus on simple living themes and quaint country farms, similar to the one at Burnside.
There also will be pottery demonstrations by Dan Jenkins and metal melting demonstrations presented by the National Museum of Industrial History, where children can create take-home tin molds.
Food and brews
Indulging in the Lehigh Valley’s fascinating past is enough to bolster anyone’s appetite.
Also present at the Blueberry Festival will be food vendors from all over the area, including Pretzel Resolution, Taco Town Catering and Mad Waffle.
For those over 21, there will be many blueberry-infused brews to sample. Representatives from Bru Daddy’s, McCall Collective Brewery Co. and others will offer tastings of various blueberry wines, beers and spirits.Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites news release
