BETHLEHEM, Pa. — After being named the No. 2 most affordable wine destination in the country in home rental site Home2Go’s annual wine lover’s index, the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail still is hard at work.
- The Lehigh Valley Wine Trail is Hosting its annual Wine & Shine event this April
- The event will span three weekends, Apr. 15 & 16, 22 & 23, and 29 & 30
- This is the first year the Social Still is participating
On Saturdays and Sundays from April 15-30, people who participate in the wine trail’s annual Wine & Shine event will be able to get one beverage and food pairing from each participating venue. Participants will also receive a branded picnic blanket and tastings of three drinks at each location.
Participating venues include:
• Black River Farms, Bethlehem (same location as WarDog Spirits)
• Blue Mountain Vineyards, New Tripoli
• Franklin Hill Vineyards, Bangor
• Social Still, Bethlehem
• Tolino Vineyards, Bangor
• Vynecrest, Breinigsville
• WarDog Spirits, Bethlehem (same location as Black River Farms winery)
This is the first year that Social Still is participating in the event, adding a second distillery to the roster.
Tracey Werner, a spokesperson for the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail, explained how the passport works.
“If one weekend isn't good for you, you could come the other weekend.
"We don't advise trying to do all seven venues in one day, because the hours are limited, and we want you to be safe. So we really do suggest at least two days, but if you want to spread it out, you know, come over all six days, you can do that.”
Passports are $39 and are sold online through EventBrite until Friday, April 7, at noon. The hours will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays (April 15, 22, 29) and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays (April 16, 23, 30).
