BETHLEHEM, Pa. – It seems anytime may be a good time for wine from organizers at ArtsQuest.

After five years of successful summer sipping with its annual SangriaFest, ArtsQuest announced Wednesday it was adding a new Winter Winefest and Market to its lineup.

The event will be noon-5 p.m. on Feb. 19 inside ArtsQuest Center on the SteelStacks campus in Bethlehem.

  • ArtsQuest will hold a new Winter Winefest and Market from noon-5 p.m. on Feb. 19 inside ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem
  • The event will offer samples and shopping from more than a dozen wineries and retailers offering wine-adjacent goods
  • Tickets, discounted until Dec. 21, are on sale at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-1300.

Now through Dec. 21, tickets are $24 for general admission and $44 for VIP. ArtsQuest members will pay $39 for VIP and $19 for general admission tickets. The price will increase by $5 for all tickets from Dec. 22 through Feb. 12, with a $10 increase on all tickets a week leading up to and including the festival and marketplace.
Tickets are available at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-1300.

Attendees will be able to sample and shop from more than a dozen of the state’s best wineries and retailers offering wine-adjacent goods.

Participating Pa. businesses will include Binah Winery, Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars, Cellar Beast Winehouse, Clever Girl Winery, Clover Hill Vineyards and Winery, Easton Wine Project, Franklin Hill Vineyards and Mountain View Vineyard Winery, Brewery, & Distillery.

There will be new winter-inspired varieties and favorite staples to sample and buy by the glass, and opportunities to learn about winemaking from the local experts, including Breinigsville-based Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery.

“Tasting at an event like this is a great opportunity to learn,” Clover Hill co-owner Kari Skrip said in a release. “We’re eager to share our premium wines, make some new fans for Clover Hill and enjoy an afternoon at ArtsQuest. We’re also grateful for the community support of our locally grown and produced wines.”

Skrip said Clover Hill will have some of its special, seasonal sangria on hand and available by the glass.

“We’ll also have the recipe available for folks to recreate at home,” Skrip said.

Vendors and retailers will include chocolatiers, cheeses, snacks and more. There also will be interactive charcuterie board-building seminars and tasting sessions in the Blast Furnace Room.

Among the sessions will be classes led by wine tasting and hospitality expert Jay Nee of Juniper & Grain, meat and cheese expert Matt Conway of Conway Provisions/Boar’s Head and Black Box Charcuterie of Easton.

VIP benefits include early entrance beginning at 11 a.m. and access to the fourth-floor lounge, a free bottle of wine and a special goodie bag featuring Boar’s Head products.

ArtsQuest started summer SangriaFest in 2016 and held its fifth version in September. The sixth annual SangriFest is planned for Sept. 3 in Grange Park in Upper Macungie Township.
