If you happen to be in Wilson this Saturday, that is.
From 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 6, Father Christmas will make his way to Wilson Area High School’s cafeteria to spread holiday cheer among Wilson elementary students and their families.
It will be the fourth annual Wilson Area LINCS Coalition for Families and Youth’s Photos with Santa event.

The community service event was created to provide a fun family-oriented celebration featuring a morning full of holiday-themed activities at a low cost to Wilson families.
District students who receive weekly weekend meal bags are invited to attend at no cost.
One of the goals of the coalition is to increase engagement in the Wilson community by providing events for children and volunteer opportunities for older students.
According to federal census data, there has been a 59% increase in economic deprivation since 2019.
In Wilson Area School District, 52% of students receive free and reduced lunches, highlighting a significant economic need for area families.
Carols, cuts, crafts and Kris Kringle
The fun Saturday will start as Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at the front of the high school. But instead of the sleigh, they’ll rid a Wilson Fire Truck.
At the same time, the LV Harmonizers will get everyone ready for Santa’s arrival by singing Christmas carols at the entrance.
Children can get their photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, enjoy games with help from members of the Wilson Area High School Key Club, pick out gifts for family members. Lifestyle Barber Academy will provide free kids haircuts from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the high school lobby.
Meuser Library, STAR Community Health, Wilson Area Partners in Education Foundation and Keller Williams Real Estate also will be on hand, offering up crafting opportunities to children.
