Fireworks are happening across the Lehigh Valley on and around Independence Day 2023.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — From live music and fireworks to helicopter rides, there is no shortage of fun ways to celebrate the Fourth of July in the Lehigh Valley.

Here's a rundown of fireworks displays and other activities happening across the region:

  • Easton Heritage Day: Sunday, July 9. On July 8, 1776, Easton was one of three places where the Declaration of Independence had its first public reading. On July 9, Easton Heritage Day marks this historically significant occasion with a free, full-day family festival around Centre Square, and at Riverside and Scott parks. There will be music, performances, historical tours and food trucks. The night will end with a fireworks display from Hackett Park — a change from the usual location at the Forks of the Delaware, where the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers meet. City officials announced the change in late April.

  • IronPigs Great American Blast Fireworks Spectacular: 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown. The event has food trucks, inflatable games, face painting and balloons, mascot appearances and live music. There will also be a fireworks show three times the size of a normal one. $8 per person, free for children under age 2.

  • Lehigh Valley Zoo's Independence Day: Noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4. Certain exhibits will have a patriotic theme. Grins and Grins LLC will perform, and there will also be a performance by the Allentown Hobo Band, as well as themed crafts. In addition, there will be a limited number of free flags available. $16 for adults, $15 for seniors and $14 for children. There is a group rate of $13.
  • Woodstone Country Club: 4 p.m. on Friday, June 30at Woodstone, 3777 Dogwood Road in Danielsville. There will be obstacle courses, kid's games, a water slide, swings, zip lining, axe throwing, mechanical bull riding and a fireworks display that begins at dusk. There will also be helicopter rides, hot air balloons and food available. In addition, there's a concert by The Brit Pack that starts at 7 p.m. The event is rain or shine. Tickets in advance are $25 per person; $15 for children under age 8; free for children under age 3. Tickets cost more at the gate.
