EASTON, Pa. — A stand-up comedian best known for his role as the "Weekend Update" anchor on "Saturday Night Live" is coming to Easton's State Theatre, it was announced Wednesday.
Comedian Michael Che, currently in his 11th season of "Saturday Night Live," will perform Dec. 10, it was announced.

Che has been co-anchor on "Weekend Update" alongside Colin Jost since 2014. They are the longest-serving "Weekend Update" anchors in "SNL" history.
Che and Jost also were co-head writers at "SNL" from 2017-22.
He has been nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards for his writing on “SNL” — the most recent in 2019 — and in 2018 was co-host of NBC’s live Emmy Awards telecast alongside Jost.
He and Colin were hosts for a number of special edition episodes of “Weekend Update” on MSNBC during the 2016 Republican and Democratic national conventions.
From 2020-22, Che also was star of the HBO TV series "That Damn Michael Che," a comedy sketch series he also wrote and executive produced.
His first hour-long comedy special, “Michael Che Matters,” was released in 2016 on Netflix, where it hit No. 1 twice.
Che’s second special for Netflix, “Michael Che: Shame the Devil,” taped at the Fox Theater in Oakland, and was released in 2021.
Prior to his time on “SNL,” Che was a correspondent on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and appeared alongside Chris Rock in the 2015 film “Top Five.”
