Joey Valence & Brae — full names Joseph Bertolino and Braedan Lugue — met as students at Penn State University and released their debut single "Crank It Up" in 2021.
But it was "Punk Tactics" that first got them recognized — going viral on social media with comparisons to Beastie Boys and getting them a spot on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
It also became the title track of their debut album in 2023.
The duo released a sophomore album, "No Hands," last year, and are scheduled to release its third album, "Hyperyouth," on Aug. 15.
The duo already has released two singles from it — "Wassup"
(featuring JPEGMafia) and the title track.

Archer's Pennsylvania Own series kicked off in May 9 with Scranton metalcore band Motionless in White.
It since has featured Philadelphia hardcore/hip-hop hybrid band Gridiron, also in May, and Lancaster rock band From Ashes to New in June.
The series "is designed to showcase and honor the rich musical heritage of the Keystone State across a variety of genres," Archer said in a release when it kicked off the series.
"The series will feature an impressive lineup of homegrown artists, including arena headliners, classic legends, local heroes and emerging favorite bands."
