MACUNGIE, Pa. — A theater performance of a wacky wedding party that had yearly runs at an area venue a decade ago will return at another regional venue, it was announced.
“Tony n Tina’s Wedding,” which had popular runs at Musikfest Café at ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem from 2012-17, will perform one night only Aug. 22 at Bear Creek Mountain Resort.

Dinner includes Italian salad, chicken parmesan or pasta primavera, Italian breads with dipping oil, wedding cake
and cash bar. A vegetarian option is available with advance request.

The over-the-top Italian-American celebration has the audience participating directly in the production — including a dance floor where everyone can join in the tarantella, a traditional Italian folk dance, as well as the Electric Slide, YMCA and the Chicken Dance.

“Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding" tells the story of the Vitale and Nunzio families and their crazy characters guests.
They include a very pregnant bridesmaid, the bride’s jealous ex-boyfriend, a wild stripper girlfriend of the groom’s dad, a drug-peddling best man and an obnoxious wedding photographer.

“Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding" opened Off Broadway in New York in 1988 and went on to become the longest-running Off Broadway show in history.
It has been performed in more than 100 cities.
