ALLENTOWN, Pa. — PPL Center is getting ready to get back in the fast lane.
The Indoor Auto Racing Series, in which the cars compete on the concrete floor, will roar back into the arena Friday and Saturday, Jan. 9-10, to kick off the 2026 series.
The race weekend will feature high-speed TQ midgets — specially built race cars powered by motorcycle engines — competing in main events on both nights on a 1/10th-mile oval track set up on the arena floor.
Tickets, at $12.50 to $43.65 each, go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the arena website or the box office at 701 Hamilton St.PPL Center
In addition, the weekend will showcase two support divisions: Slingshots and Champ Karts.
Also, "a special Friday night dash for the TQ Midgets is in the works to kickoff the weekend with a bang," Indoor Auto Racing Series said in a news release.

Lower-level reserved ticket holders for Saturday night’s event will get access to special pre-race FanFest, in which attendees get the opportunity to tour the race track and meet the drivers and the cars up close before the races.
Special hotel rates for race fans, starting at $139 a night, are available at The Americus and Renaissance hotels through links at the Indoor Auto Racing website.
"The Allentown stop has consistently delivered some of the most intense racing on the circuit," the release said.
"With top drivers battling inches apart inside the state-of-the-art PPL Center home to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms."
PPL Center first held Indoor Auto Racing in January 2016.
"Last year, Ryan Flores continued his Allentown dominance racing for the 12th starting spot to win Friday night’s main event," the release said.
"On Saturday night, series champion Andy Jankowiak, known as 'Andy J,' broke through with his first Allentown event win, despite a late challenge from Flores, who accepted the Ironton Auto Body Challenge after his Friday night triumph and elected to start from the 10th position."
