Sip and savor: ArtsQuest to hold cocktail tasting, wine dinner in celebration of holiday season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — ArtsQuest will hold two dining events to help locals and visitors dive into the holiday spirit.

The organization announced it will hold An Old Fashioned Christmas cocktail tasting at 1 p.m. Dec. 2 and Dec. 9 in the Visitor's Center at SteelStacks and The Holiday Wine Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the Blast Furnace Room at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.

For An Old Fashioned Christmas, ArtsQuest will partner with international spirits company Edrington and Levy Restaurants.

Guests will have the chance to savor four old-fashioned cocktails crafted with a selection of Edrington spirits, including Noble Oak Double Oak Bourbon, Wyoming Whiskey Small Batch Bourbon, Naked Malt and Brigual 1888 Double Aged Rum.

Tickets, at $59, grant access to Christkindlmarkt, a complete old-fashioned cocktail from one of the Christkindlmarkt bars and food prepared by Levy Restaurant Executive Chef Julie Marble.

The menu includes offerings such as Charcuterie Skewers, Caprese Chicken Half Sandwich, Smoke Salmon Boursin Crostini and Chocolate Bark.

The Holiday Wine Dinner

At The Holiday Wine Dinner, ArtsQuest, Jay Nee of Juniper & Grain and Levy Restaurants will collaborate to serve dinner paired with handpicked wines by Nee.

The four courses will be:

First course
Mt. Tabor Chardonnay (Israel-Kosher)
Grilled Pear Salad
Frisee, Baby Spinach, Ruby Swiss Chard, Caramelized Parsnip, Spiced Walnut, Lardon, Maple Citrus Vinaigrette

Second course
Rascallian Wines “Pandiculation” Red (South Africa)
Ratatouille
Eggplant, Zucchini, Squash, Roasted Garlic Marinara

Third course – Entrée
Boomtown by Dusted Valley Cabernet (Washington)
Braised Short Rib
Caramelized Onion, Butternut Squash Puree, Fresh Herbs

Fourth course – Dessert
Italo Cescon Spumante Prosecco Extra Brut (Italy)
Orange-Cardamom Olive Oil Cake
Cinnamon Candied Orange, Mint, Caramel
