BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Welcome to another year of LehighValleyNew.com's Fest in Show, a daily offering of some of the can't-miss acts on the 16 free stages of Bethlehem's Musikfest festival.
This year, more than 400 acts will play those stages during the festival's 11 days.
Read us daily during Musikfest for suggestions of the best music — and more.
Here are music acts you should see today, Monday, Aug. 4, on the free stages at Musikfest 2025:
Lily Moss and the Stone Ponys, 5 p.m. Liederplatz
A Bethlehem native, Moss has had her country/Americana songs "Heartbreak Summer" and "Love Me Not" featured on Spotify's "All New Country" playlist. Last year she released her debut album, "Meet Me on Broadway," produced by Grammy-nominated Dan Malsch, and recently was chosen ArtsQuest Foundation's Emerging Artist of the Year.
Billy Bauer, 6:30 p.m. Main Street
Based in Bethlehem, for nearly two decades Billy Bauer Band has been a Lehigh Valley music scene mainstay that has played Musikfest and other East Coast festivals and opened for national artists such as Uncle Kracker, O.A.R., Phillip Phillips, Tim Reynolds, Young the Giant, Blues Traveler, Gin Blossoms and Third Eye Blind. Bauer also has a steadily performing tribute to the Dave Matthews Band.
Katie Henry, 7:30 p.m. Americaplatz
First-time Musikfest performer Henry is a New Jersey-based blues rocker whose new album, "Get Goin'," was produced by blues-guitar great Bernard Allison, who contributed a pair of songs and whose band Henry uses to back her. Her previous disc, "On My Way," made it on Blues Rock Review's list of the Top 20 Albums of 2022.
Chasing Daylight, playing Up and Up: A Tribute to Coldplay, 9 p.m. Zinzenplatz
Coldplay is an unusual — and difficult — subject for a tribute show, but Brogan said Chasing Daylight vocalist Bobby Siegfried "absolutely has the vocals" for it. The group says its Coldplay tribute "brings the magic and universal goodwill of Coldplay's music to life in a show that is immediately captivating, inspirational and unforgettable."
DJ Bez Musiq, 9:30 p.m. Plaza Tropical
Musiq had his first area nightclub residency at 13 and now, at 22, recently ended the night at ArtsQuest's ReggaeFest, where he "held a thousand-plus people in the palm of his hand," ArtsQuest Chief Programming Officer Patrick Brogan said. He "just has a vision for musical sounds and how they are produced together, to carry an energy through his set, the likes of which is well beyond his age."
