More than 9,000 fans enjoyed the Cosmic Baseball event at Coca-Cola Park in May. The exhibition featured two teams wearing specially treated uniforms and caps that glowed under UV light.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A new style of baseball that will return to Coca-Cola Park to have the stadium all aglow will be twice as bright, the IronPigs organization has announced.

Cosmic baseball — a baseball game played under black lights with a glowing ball, bats, bases and even uniforms — will be at the stadium for two nights.

The Tri-City Chili Peppers will face the Glow Mojis on May 15 and 16.

Tickets for the May 16 game sold through an online ticket lottery sold out (group hospitality areas remain available), so the May 15 game was added, according to an IronPigs release.

For tickets for the May 15 game, join the online lottery and ticket sale at chilipeppersbaseball.com. For more information on group hospitality, call the IronPigs ticket office at 610-841-PIGS (7447).

'Draw-dropping spectacle'

In Cosmic Baseball, players take the field under what is described as the world’s only stadium-grade black lights for "a jaw-dropping spectacle that’s part baseball, part neon-fueled party and 100% unforgettable."

There are neon uniforms, UV-reactive baseballs and "electrifying entertainment," according to a release.

Coca-Cola Park will be among many stops for Cosmic Baseball in 2026, according to the release.

The Chili Peppers Baseball Organization created the Cosmic experience during summer 2024.

Major League Baseball says it's believed to be the first organized sporting event to be played entirely under black lights.

A national tour was created after the game spurred a wait list of more than 50,000 in two months after media attention from CNN, FOX News, ABC, the "Today" show, ESPN, MLB Network, TBS Television Japan and more.

The Cosmic Takeover Tour sold out two games at Coca-Cola Park on May 16-17.
