Meet the finalists for 2025 Allentown Fair queen

Great Allentown Fair

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Residents from Allentown and New Tripoli are vying for this year's reign as Allentown Fair royalty.

The teens are in the running for a $1,500 scholarship from the Lehigh-Northampton Pomona Grange #68 and the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market.

The 173rd annual fair will kick off Wednesday, Aug. 27, with the contest and coronation of the new queen at the Astound Broadband Farmerama Theatre wrapping up the first night.

Kutztown resident Zoie Jones took home the crown last year. Here are the finalists looking to succeed her:

Faith Smith

Daughter of Marvin and Beverly Smith, of New Tripoli, Faith is a junior at Northwestern Lehigh High School.

Among her extracurriculars, Faith has volunteered through Teen Council, contributed many hours at the Allentown Fairgrounds and participates in highway litter cleanups.

The 16-year-old has a history with agriculture. Faith has been a member of the Lehigh County 4-H Club for eight years, showing beef cattle and competing with market steers and breeding cows. She has been accepted into the Veterinary Technician Program at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute.

Faith plans to attend Delaware Valley University and would like to become a large animal veterinarian.

Olivia Wisser

Olivia Wisser, also from New Tripoli, is competing in this year's fair queen pageant. A graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, the 18-year-old is the daughter of Amy and Jason Wisser.

Olivia served as president and secretary of the Dairy Club, secretary of the Teen Council and participated in the Livestock Club and Programming Development Committee.

She won the Supreme Champion Dairy Beef Steer award and Reserve Champion Showman titles in Dairy Cattle and Dairy Beef categories at the 2024 Schnecksville Fair. Olivia is also OSHA Veterinary Certified.

Working at her family's dairy farm and caring for horses at Golden View Horse Farm, Olivia hopes to become a herd manager for a dairy farm in the Northeast or Midwest after graduating from college.

She plans to major in animal science with a focus on dairy cattle nutrition at Penn State University.

Catalina Ocasio

Allentown resident Catalina Ocasio is a sophomore at Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts. The 16-year-old is the daughter of Ashley Ocasio.

Catalina is described as a talented musician who can play the piano and flute. She shares her passion for music with the Community Music School and volunteers at Sacred Heart Church and St. Francis Church.

Catalina is training to become a PREP assistant teacher at Sacred Heart Parish and plans to major in education at a four-year university, with hopes of becoming a history teacher.

She also enjoys baking and aspires to open her own bakery.

Cyani Gonzalez

Cyani Gonzalez, of Allentown, is daughter of Jeannette Cruz. The 19-year-old graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School last year and is a freshman at Northampton Community College.

Cyani has participated in numerous extracurriculars, including: competitive dance, color guard, Eco club, mock trial and debate team, baton twirling, tennis, cheerleading and volunteering at food banks and animal shelters. She also plants flower gardens and trees at local parks.

Majoring in early childhood education, with a minor in special education, Cyani works as a pre-K teacher at St. Elizabeth's Regional School. She would like to become an environmental science teacher.
