MACUNGIE, Pa. — MeLVin, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms’ mascot, is coming off the ice.

But it's just to spread the fun he usually brings to the minor league hockey team at PPL Center.

MeLVin will join families for a Phamily Phun Night at Bear Creek Mountain Resort on Aug. 13.

In addition, the Phantoms staff will be on site with promotional items.

At the event with MeLVin, children will eat free at The Grille at Bear Creek (with a paying adult) from 6-8 p.m. MeLVin will appear from 6-6:30 p.m.
