ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Lehigh Valley IronPigs pitcher Gabe Moser, a Parkland High School alum, took the stage Wednesday to debut the baseball team’s newest look — a striking uniform inspired by Musikfest's 2026 Musikfest poster.

Musikfest presenters ArtsQuest and the IronPigs — two of the Lehigh Valley's biggest institutions — unveiled baseball hats and jerseys that feature the 2026 "Music Unites" logo to honor America’s 250th anniversary.

The artwork was designed by Doug Boehm, a local painter, illustrator and musician.

Officials for the organizations said discussions for the logo began 15 months ago, as leaders of both met to brainstorm how to mark America's 250.

"We started a conversation about how this is a big deal to celebrate 250 years and [how] it would be appropriate for our organizations, which have a lot of respect for each other, to do something special," IronPigs President Kurt Landes said.

"And because of who we are and because of our facilities that we take very seriously, we wanted to take that leadership position and to create something that the entire Lehigh Valley can celebrate that shows unity, that shows patriotism."

'Music Unites'

Boehm's red, white and blue design, which features a bald eagle, piano and sketch of SteelStacks, is visible on the back of the team jersey.

It will be stitched into the IronPigs uniforms and worn by the players on the field six times next season, officials said.

The words "250" also will be sewn on the side of the jerseys, and part of Boehm's design will be featured on the IronPigs' baseball cap.

'Festers Night will be held July 29 and mark the 10th anniversary of the two organizations' annual collaboration with a Musikfest-themed jersey and cap incorporating the 250th anniversary design.

The "Music Unites" team jerseys and merchandise also are for sale via the IronPigs' website.

The 250 caps and pre-orders for jerseys, T-shirts and 2026 Musikfest Mugs can be purchased at ArtsQuest's website.

According to Landes, the organizations are inviting other local groups to use the logo to create a unified identity for America 250 events.

Celebrating big numbers

The IronPigs have bigger numbers on the brain besides 250.

Landes said the Minor League franchise has shattered attendance records year after year and is fresh off another historic accomplishment: becoming the fastest Minor League Baseball team ever to reach 10 million fans.

“Leading all of Minor League Baseball in attendance during years 15, 16 and 17 is something special. And to partner with ArtsQuest, an organization that shares our values and vision, makes it even better.”

With three straight seasons leading the nation in both average and overall attendance — and nine years at the top since Coca-Cola Park opened — the IronPigs also are vying for a spot in the division playoffs.

Game two will be at home and start at 6:45 p.m. today, Sept. 17, against the Syracuse Mets.

Hours before heading to the field, Moser, who played at Coca-Cola Park as a teen for the Parkland Trojans during the EPC High School Series, seemed cool and calm.

"We're taking it day by day," he said.
