ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A female singer-songwriter who from 2006-2018 released four albums that hit the Top 5 on the Independent chart will perform at Archer Music Hall, it was announced.
Neko Case, who has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and also is a member of the high-charting Canadian power pop super group The New Pornographers, will perform at 7 p.m. Jan. 17.
Opening the show will be underground punk band Des Demonas.

A new disc, "Neon Grey Midnight Green," Cases first in seven years, is due out Sept. 25. The Archer show will be part of a tour to promote that disc.
Case's career has spanned country, folk, art rock, indie rock and pop.
Chart, critical, commercial success
She released her first solo album, "Blacklisted," in 2002, but had her most chart success starting with her sophomore album, "Fox Confessor Brings the Flood," which hit No 45 on the Indie chart in 2006.
"Middle Cyclone" in 2006 topped that chart and crossed over to No. 3 on Billboard's overall albums chart, and was nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best Contemporary Folk Album and Best Recording Package.
Her next disc, "The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You" in 2013 also topped the Indie chart and was No. 12 on the overall albums chart.
That disc was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
Her most recent disc, "Hell-On," in 2018 peaked at No. 4 on the Indie chart.
With The New Pornographers, Case has released nine albums, starting with 2000's "Mass Romantic." Its 2010 disc "Together" and 2014 disc "Brill Bruisers," both hit No. 2 on the Indie chart and the Top 5 on the Rock chart.
It's 2017 single "High Ticket Attractions" hit No. 5 on the Adult Alternative chart.
The group's latest disc was 2013's "The Latest Guest."
