Yung Gravy, whose real name is Matthew Hauri, first gained attention when his 2016 song "Mr. Clean" from his self-released debut EP of the same name sold platinum.

The song samples the popular 1954 song "Mr. Sandman" by The Chordettes, and exemplifies his style of blending modern trap music with vintage styles of soul, oldies and funk.

Most recent hit is his biggest

He followed that with 2017's "1 Thot 2 Thot Red Thot Blue Thot," which also sold platinum. In 2019, two songs from his debut album, "Sensational" — "Magic" and "Whip a Tesla" (with bbno$) — both reached gold.

Yung Gravy's biggest success came with last year's hit song "Betty (Get Money)," which reached platinum sales and put him on Billboard's overall songs chart at No. 30.

He also reached gold with 2020's "Welcome to Chilis" (with bbno$), then again the same year with "Oops!" That year, he released a collaboration EP with bbno$ called "Baby Gravy 2."

But Gravy's biggest success came with last year's hit "Betty (Get Money)," which samples Rick Astley's 1987 hit "Never Gonna Give You Up." It reached platinum and put Gravy on Billboard's overall songs chart at No. 30.

Most recently, Gravy this year released two singles, "She's a 10 But..." with ARTAN and "Bitch Again" with Pouya.

In all, his songs have totaled 6 billion streams.
