BETHLEHEM, Pa. — PeepsFest, the Peeps-themed New Year’s celebration at SteelStacks, will return with its two-day family-friendly party Dec. 30-31, it was announced Monday.
The 17th Peeps-themed indoor and outdoor festival will again have live music, games and crafts from local nonprofits, sponsor ArtsQuest said in a release.
Also this year, there will be interactive shows by Wildlands Conservancy and the Da Vinci Science Center, ArtsQuest said.
Tickets, at $5 per person, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at the ArtsQuest website or the box office at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founder Way, Bethlehem.ArtsQuest.com
PeepsFest will run 3-6 p.m. each day. The event is sponsored by Just Born Quality Confections, makers of Peeps.
The peak of the festival again will be the 5:35 p.m. drop of a 400-pound, 4-foot-9-inch Peeps Chick, followed by fireworks, each day, it said.

Among the popular activities will be the Friendship Bracelet Creation Station, and Peeps in the Kitchen, where attendees will learn fun and tasty recipes from Chef Julie of Levy Restaurants.
Guests 12 and younger will get a special Peeps tote bag to fill with goodies throughout the event, and there will be character meet-and-greets.
More than 3,000 people were at PeepsFest for the Peep drop last year, officials said.
