SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — From Colombian beats to the dances of Isla del Encanto.
Dorney Park's Viva La Fiesta, a new summer Latin celebration, for a month of weekends will feature live music, food and family-friendly activities.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 19, through Sunday, Aug. 17.

The Latin-themed events replace the amusement park's Summer Nights, which launched in 2024 as a culinary and musical showcase of Caribbean and Latin American culture.
This year's re-branded cultural spread is a spin-off of Viva La Fiesta, held each summer at Six Flags' theme parks in Georgia, Maryland and Texas.
"We’re excited to bring something fresh and culturally meaningful to our guests this summer, while still delivering the fun and thrills they know and love."Kim Solis, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom
In 2024, Six Flags Corporation, the largest amusement park operator in North America, acquired Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom's parent company, Cedar Fair Entertainment.
A Six Flags release at the time stated the merger would "enhance park offerings and performance through the complementary portfolio of attractive assets and intellectual property,” such as Looney Tunes, DC Comics and Peanuts.
“Viva La Fiesta is more than an event—it’s a reflection of the music, food, and spirit that define Caribbean and Latin American culture,” Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom Park Manager Kim Solis said.
Will Snoopy dance?
It hasn't been revealed whether Dorney Park's version of Snoopy will dance to the salsa and cumbia beats, but passholders may recognize some of the musicians scheduled to perform at the fiesta.
Returning are Manteca Blue & The Latin Corner, a seven-member jazz fusion group from Bogota, Colombia.
Also, dancers from the Rumbamena Dance Company will perform a set of high-energy choreographic pieces.

The group, which performed at Summer Nights in 2024, features diverse dances who pay homage to their native countries, including Argentina, Mexico, Chile and Cuba.
"We’re excited to bring something fresh and culturally meaningful to our guests this summer, while still delivering the fun and thrills they know and love," Solis said.
Throughout the park, there will be family-friendly activities including a steel drum demonstration and playtime, a giant color-by-number mural and midway games with Latin-themed prizes.
Tres leches, cholados
The celebration also will feature Latin eats at Dorney's restaurants.
The menu items include tres leches funnel cake (funnel cake with cinnamon, white chocolate and strawberries) and bistec ala Mexicana (seasoned beef sirloin with white onion, serrano peppers, and rice.)

Also bondipan (roast pork sandwich with chimichurri and salsa), and cholados Colombianos (fresh-cut fruit with crushed ice and sweetened condensed milk).
Access to entertainment and activities is included with the price of admission to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom.
Tickets are available on the Dorney Park website. Daily passes start at $40 or $115 for a silver pass (unlimited access through Labor Day).
