Disney on Ice to return to Allentown's PPL Center with 'courage, love, adventure'

Disney On Ice will return to Allentown's PPL Center in December.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Disney on Ice will return to PPL Center in December, with this version of the show celebrating "the magic of courage, love and adventure," organizers announced Tuesday.

Disney On Ice presents Into The Magic will be "an expedition across raging seas, snow-covered mountains and the marigold bridge," the center announced in a news release.

There will be seven performances of Disney on Ice Into The Magic at Allentown's PPL Center: 7 p.m. Dec. 12 and Dec.13, 11 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m. Dec. 14 and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 15.

It will have characters from Disney’s "Moana," "Frozen," "Coco," "Beauty and the Beast" and more, according to the release.

There will be seven performances: 7 p.m. Dec. 12 and Dec.13; 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 14; and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 15.

Tickets — the prices of which were not announced but which were announced to be "family friendly" — will go on sale at PPLCenter.com, Ticketmaster.com or in-person at PPL Center's box office at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27.

High-sea adventures, enchanted castles

The release said Into The Magic will "take families on a high-sea adventure as Moana sets sail on a life-changing quest to save her island with help from the demigod Maui."

"With the ice floor transformed into the vast oceanic scape, Disney On Ice allows Moana’s strength and determination to take center stage," it said.

"This engaging atmosphere lets audiences deepen their existing connection to their favorite way finder and discover one’s true identity is never out of reach."

The show will take the audience across the Marigold Bridge with Miguel from Disney Pixar’s "Coco," into "the magnificent and mystical Land of the Dead," the release said.

"Beautiful production numbers invite audiences into the world of 'Beauty and the Beast,' as Belle shows what it means to be fearless. Along with her new friends in the enchanted castle," it said.

Anna and Elsa, Rapunzel and Flynn and Cinderella, brave heroes from "Frozen," "Tangled" and "Cinderella," "ignite passions to believe," it said.

Disney on Ice performed at PPL Center annually from 2015-2020.
