Cirque du Soleil "Crystal" will return to Allentown's PPL Center on Jan. 30, 2025.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Cirque Du Soleil’s first-ever acrobatic performance on ice will return to Allentown's PPL Center for five performances.

"Crystal," which had a successful run at PPL Center in 2018, will return Jan. 30-Feb. 2, "due to popular demand," Cirque announced Tuesday.

Performances will be 7 p.m. Jan. 30 and Jan. 31; 3 and 7 p.m. Feb. 1; and 1 p.m. Feb. 2.

Tickets, the prices of which were not announced, go on sale at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 3, to Cirque Club members. Cirque Club membership is free and includes access to advance tickets and special offers. To join, visit www.cirquedusoleil.com.

General tickets will go on sale Sept. 9 at the PPL Center website.

“Crystal” tells the story of the misfit heroine title character, who takes the audience a tale of self-discovery as she dives into a world of her own imagination.

The show’s message is about looking at things from fresh angles. It’s for all ages. A release says world-class ice skaters and acrobats will perform in the show.

The show's dimensions

The show uses visual projections and a soundtrack that blend popular music with the signature sound of Cirque du Soleil.

It includes seven traditional circus acts all adapted for performance on ice.

"Crystal" uses larger-than-life visual projections on ice (a Cirque du Soleil first) and a soundtrack that blends popular music with the signature sound of Cirque du Soleil.

Since 2017, "Crystal" has performed before more than 1.9 million people in over 135 cities worldwide. "Crystal" is Cirque du Soleil’s 42nd creation and celebrated its 1,000th show in Perth, Australia, in September 2023.

PPL Center, which opened in 2014, brought Cirque shows to the Lehigh Valley for the first time in 2015 with “Toruk,” inspired by the blockbuster movie “Avatar.”

It most recently performed "Corteo" at PPL Center in March.
