ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A Top 24 contestant on the TV singing competition "The Voice" who went on to have gold and platinum hits will be an opening act at Allentown Fair, it was announced Friday.
Kameron Marlow, best known for his 2021 platinum hit "Giving You Up" and 2022's gold "Steady Heart," will open the show at 7 p.m. Aug. 29, it was announced.

Marlowe made the Top 24 contestants on "The Voice" in 2018, then released "Giving You Up" in 2021. It reached No. 45 on the Country Airplay chart.
His debut album, "When We Were Cowboys," released in 2022, peaked at No. 22 on the Country chart and also included "Steady Heart," which also was a Top 45 hit.
The disc also had two other Top 50 hits, "Burn 'Em All" and "Girl on Fire."
His sophomore album, 2024's "Keeping the Lights On," peaked at No. 43 and contained the Top 45 single "Strangers" with Ella Langley.
His most recent album was "Sad Songs for the Soul," released in February.
He's also toured with Thomas Rhett, Riley Green, Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson.
Just one headline show — for Aug. 30 — remains to be announced for the grandstand at the 173rd anniversary fair, which this year runs Aug, 27-Sept. 1.
In addition to Brown's concert, tickets remain on sale for fair grandstand headliners Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Heart on Aug. 27, country-rock pioneers Alabama on Aug. 28,top country music singer Kane Brown on Aug. 29 and top comedian Gabriel Iglesias on Aug. 31.
Also, for the fair-closing J&J Demolition Derby on Sept. 1.
The fair is also selling all-day ride wristbands, half-price fair admission tickets and prepaid premium concert parking.
