Tickets, the prices of which were not immediately announced, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30 at the Archer website or at the box office at 939 Hamilton St., Allentown.

The four-man band Modest Mouse, from Washington state, is best known for its 2004 single "Float On," which hit No. 1 on the Alternative Singles chart and hit 5 times platinum.

The group made its debut with the 1996 album “This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About,” but had its first success with 2000’s “The Moon & Antarctica,” which went gold.

The group had a platinum album in 2004 with “Good News for People who Love Bad News," which included "Float On," the gold single "The World at Large" and the gold Top 10 song “Ocean Breathes Salty."

“Good News for People Who Love Bad News” was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Rock Album and “Float On” also got a Grammy nomination.

Its biggest success

But “We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank,” was Modest Mouse's bestselling album, and included the Top 5 Alternative hit "Dashboard."

The group waited eight years to release its next album, “Strangers to Ourselves,” in 2015. The disc peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s albums chart.

Its first single, “Lampshades on Fire,” topped the Alternative chart, an another single, “The Ground Walks, with Time in a Box,” hit the Alternative Top 20.

Its most recent album, 2021's "The Golden Casket," peaked at No. 87, but included a No. 1 Alternative single, "We Are Between," and the Top 25 single "The Sun Hasn't Left."

The group's only original member is singer Isaac Brock. Keyboardist Tom Peloso is still considered a member, but no longer tours.

Modest Mouse in 2014 played the first paid-ticket show at Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, selling out the 3,000-capacity outdoor venue, and returned to play for a crowd of 2,700 in 2015.

It last played the Leigh Valley at Sands Bethlehem Event Center, now called Wind Creek Event Center, in 2018.
