BETHLEHEM, Pa. — An Americana rock band that from the mid-2000s to the mid-2010s had six Top 20 hits on Billboard's Adult Alternative chart will play a free show at Musikfest in August, it was announced Wednesday.

Augustana, best known for its Top 10 hit "Boston" in 2006 and Top 5 hit "Sweet and Low" in 2008, will play a free show at 7 p.m. Aug. 9 at the downtown and South Side Bethlehem music festival.

The group is among a list of 323 musical acts Musikfest announced Wednesday will perform more than 500 concerts on its 15 free stages during the July 31-Aug. 10 festival.

The shows represent "every genre ... from rock to reggae, jazz to indie, there’s something for every music lover to discover all in the country’s largest free music festival."
Musikfest, in a release

The shows represent "every genre ... from rock to reggae, jazz to indie, there’s something for every music lover to discover all in the country’s largest free music festival," Musikfest said in a release.

The release did not give times, dates or stages for the performers — it said that will be released "in the coming weeks."

But Augustana lists the time for its show on its website.

Augustana had four albums that hit the Top 100 on Billboard, with 2008's Can't Love, Can't Hurt and 2011's self-titled disc both hitting the Top 10 on the Rock chart.

Its most recent disc was "Something Beautiful" in 2024. It's last charting hit was "Ash and Ember" in 2014.

"Boston" was used on the third-season finale of the TV show "One Tree Hill" in 2006, and on shows such as "Scrubs" and "Big Bang Theory."

The group played a paid show at Musikfest Cafe in 2019 with Daughtry.
