B Social, the Lehigh Valley's newest entertainment center, will officially open its doors to the public next week following a soft opening July 9-10.

LOWER SAUCON TWP., Pa. — The axes sailed through the air and landed on dart boards as a group of co-workers clapped and cheered. Across the hall, a team grabbed heavy bowling balls in hopes of knocking down all 10 pins.

It was an afternoon of friendly competition at B Social, the new multi-entertainment venue opening Monday, July 15 in the Saucon Square Shopping Center.

The 45,000 square-foot space is filled with activities like bowling, ax throwing, pool, ping-pong and more than 50 arcade games.

In addition, the two-story facility serves food and features three bars and plenty of seating space and 70 screens, including two mega-TV to watch sporting events.

B Social will also feature an expansive food menu with three bars and an indoor/outdoor beer garden.

Only the sign remains

B Social, housed in the former Revolutions entertainment center, is owned by Mike Patel and Kayur Popat, who operate El Jefe, a popular arcade/restaurant in Norristown.

"Families really want a way to connect. If you see our attractions, the ones that are most popular are the ones where the parents and the children can connect. In today's world, you've got your own electronic device in your hand, but in this you can actually connect."
Kayur Popat, co-owner B-Social

The El Jefe's concept did well for the longtime business partners, who purchased Revolutions in 2022 (three years after the latter shut its doors).

Although visitors to B Social will recognize the old Revolutions "Eat, Drink, Rock and Bowl" sign in the front, everything else inside has been modernized.

Even the ax throwing is digitalized, so that families can play tic-tac-toe, monopoly and other games while they throw.

Ax throwing stars at $20 per person for 90 minutes, or $200 per bay (also 90 minutes).

B-Social features an arcade center with both modern games and older versions, as well as a bowling alley.

"What I've seen is families really want a way to connect. If you see our attractions, the ones that are most popular are the ones where the parents and the children can connect. In today's world, you've got your own electronic device in your hand, but in this you can actually connect. They can actually play against one another," Popat said. "I think we're seeing a larger market of families wanting to connect with each other."

The arcade, where Patel says he played skee-ball for hours with his son before opening day, offers both newer games and those from long ago.

"There are data studies done on what age group plays what type of game. Some might like Redemption. Some like to ride or play the car games. Some people like simpler games where it's point based," Patel said.

"Basketball is always popular. People are always going to throw a ball.

"So we tried to keep those games and upstairs what we're doing is trying to bring in retro games like Mrs. Pac-Man and Asteroids."

Arcade games start at $15 per person for 30 minutes or $20 per person for one hour.

Bowling costs $20 -$30 per lane Monday-Thursday and $35-55 per lane Friday and Saturdays.

Burgers, arcade packages, lounge

B Social's restaurant serves burger slides, tacos, pizza and other dinner items such as steak and salmon.
