Boxing, presented by Red Owl promotions, will be the first sporting event offered by Allentown's Archer Music Hall.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A different kind of entertainment is coming to Archer Music Hall — and it's not music.

But it could be a knockout success.

Box Fest XVII, a professional boxing card, will take over the new downtown arena at 8 p.m. April 3, it was announced.

Tickets, at $93-$177, are on sale at the Archer website and at the box office at 939 Hamilton St., Allentown.

The show will offer at least four fights presented by Red Owl Boxing. The Red Owl website says the official fight card will be announced soon.

But the Archer Facebook page lists participants as super lightweight Joseph Adorno, undefeated lightweight Antonio Perez, and undefeated super bantamweight Cornellio Phipps.

Also, super welterweight Cahir Gormley, undefeated welterweight Gustavo Morales of Allentown, undefeated lightweight Emanuel Moreno, and heavyweight Eric Martinez.

Also listed are female boxers Jaclyne McTamney and undefeated Ivy Enriquez.

Tickets, at $93-$177, are on sale at the Archer website and at the box office at 939 Hamilton St., Allentown.

The card also will be shown on the sports streaming platform DAZN, according to the Red Owl website.

'Top prospects, action-packed fights'

The Red Owl website says BoxFest XVII will be "a night built around the next generation of the sport. This is where prospects turn into contenders and reputations are forged under the lights.

Red Owl touts itself as "focused on promoting the next generation of boxing stars and bringing attention to all levels of the sport. It aims to revitalize boxing by highlighting emerging talent and providing consistent programming featuring top prospects and action-packed fights."

Allentown's PPL Center has had nine boxing cards since it opened nearly a dozen years ago, and Bethlehem's Wind Creek Event Center has offered boxing since it opened as Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
