BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Spiritual medium Theresa Caputo, who for 14 seasons has starred on the television show "Long Island Medium," said her upcoming shows at Wind Creek Event Center will be a “night of connection.”

"To watch someone heal right in front of you, and to watch strangers console one another, it's just, it's a remarkable and probably the most amazing and touching show you will probably ever attend,” Caputo said in a recent interview.

That's the kind of connection Caputo has brought to her audience

“The healing process is something completely different, and grief never looks the same."

Caputo grew in popularity following the 2011 debut of “Long Island Medium” on TLC.

For 14 seasons, viewers have watched as she meets with those hoping to connect with loved ones who have passed.

Those watching also get a glimpse into Caputo’s personal life with her now ex-husband Larry and two grown children.

The show can now be found on HBO Max. In addition, Caputo is currently the host of a podcast.

She has also written three best-selling books, the latest of which was “Good Grief: Heal Your Soul, Honor Your Loved Ones and Learn to Love Again” in 2017.

Her shows at Wind Creek will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2. Tickets, at $59.50-$99.50, remain available for both at the venue website and the box office at 77 Wind Creek Blvd., Bethlehem.

“The one thing that I tell people is we will grieve the loss of our loved ones for the rest of our lives here in the physical world,” Caputo said as she spoke about grieving.

“The healing process is something completely different, and grief never looks the same.”

'Night of faith, hope and healing'

Caputo, 58, a mother of two and grandmother of three, says she connects with departed souls by an entity she refers to as “Spirit.”

She said she continues to channel Spirit because of the reaction she gets from those who experience her talent.

She said her job may look easy, but can be exhausting.

Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo talks to LehighValleyNews.com via Zoom as she prepares to return to the area for two shows at the Wind Creek Casino.

“There are many times that I say to myself, 'I can't do this anymore,'" she said. "It's too much.

"And then I channel someone's loved one, or I meet someone on the street that says to me, 'Because of you, I found my faith again.'”

Regarding Wind Creek, where Caputo has appeared several times, she said with a laugh, “I just love me a casino, who doesn't, right?

"Anyone listening, I do not know if I'm gonna win. I never really win. It's all for fun."

She said her live show is about two hours, without an intermission.

When asked about returning to the Lehigh Valley for the shows Caputo said, "I'm so excited to come back. I'm pretty much back there every year, so it's very exciting.

"So I think that just speaks volumes on how powerful the experience truly is."

While some people will have the chance to “talk to” their dead loved ones, those in attendance are not guaranteed a reading.

"Anyone that's coming to the show, they can just expect a night of faith, hope and healing,” Caputo said.
