Whole-body plastinates and organs are displayed at the BODY WORLDS RX exhibition at Allentown's Da Vinci Science Center. The exhibition opens Dec. 26 and runs through April 23.

Opened on Dec. 26 and running through April 23, the traveling exhibition showcases the human body from the inside out. Through plastination, there will be preserved organs, muscles, skeletons and more to show at the exhibit.

Dr. Angelina Whalley, the exhibition’s curator, said all the plastinates are meant to display a wide variety of anatomical features, and that the process of plastination is complicated.

With more than 30 specimens featured, Body Worlds also shines a light on the dramatic effects of diseases and what they can do to the human body.

Learn more about the exhibition if you’re unsure of whether to go.

The display will require a separate cost if you also pay for other exhibits. Although family-friendly, parents are encouraged to stay with children to answer any questions they might have.

For tickets and more information, check out the Da Vinci Science Center website.
