CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Grinch may have stolen Christmas, but at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, he's celebrating it.

  • There's a holiday pop-up at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, Thursdays-Sundays until Christmas
  • The Grinch will be signing autographs and taking photos and there will be live music Dec. 3
  • The market is a way for small, local business owners to connect with shoppers

The Grinch will be signing autographs and taking photos with shoppers at a new holiday pop-up market with live music, games, gift wrapping, a photo wall, food and puppy treats, and a coloring area for kids.

It's the first time the Promenade has hosted a pop-up market during the holiday season.

“I always thought the Grinch was misunderstood. It went hand in hand with my brand,” said Kyle Edwards, who plays the Grinch.

His company, a true L.O.V.E. story, coordinated the market.

His goal is to delight little kids by telling the Grinch’s story “through happiness and cheer, redefining who he is as an individual.”

There's also a special drop-off for the City Hope, Toys For Tots and Sassy Massey.

Sassy Massey is a tribute to Jillian Massey who passed away five years ago after a 20-month fight with brain cancer. The toys collected in her name will go to local and community hospitals.

The market is located between L.L. Bean and Sweet and Sassy. The 10 local businesses participating include atls™ Apparel; Prince & Broome; Lashes by Gab; Rebecca Rose Crystals; TR Historical; The Wicked Botanist; Steph's Sugar Cookies; Blondies Cupcakes; 22 Peppers; Lu Tacqueria; and Lost Tavern Brewing.

“Being the child of an immigrant, I think that the American dream is still out there,” said Georgia Dontas, of Prince & Broome, which sells women’s clothes at the market.

“Being able to try and reach it for yourself is rewarding and also a little risky. But at the same time, you get to meet such great people.

“I enjoy it. I’m only a year old. But I hopefully will be around for a very long time.”

Live music is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. on Dec. 3.

Pop-Up Hours: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Thursdays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The market will also be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
