BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The 10-day festival at SteelStacks and venues across Bethlehem at the beginning of August typically brings in thousands of people. The festival touts millions in economic impact to local businesses.

Several of the headliners like - Poison and the National - already canceled tours amid the COVID-19 pandemic and will not be performing. But Musikfest CEO Kassie Hilgert says many others will still be playing. She says they will televise half the acts on Service Electric cable. And others online - for free.

“We’re going to have 40 concerts that will be streaming on musikfest.org as well as our social media pages. It’s going to give us a lot of flexibility to be able to fest at home,” said Hilgert.

Some acts are being rescheduled for in-person shows next year. Festival organizers say they are asking people who already purchased tickets to hold on to them, but will also be offering refunds.

Organizers say there will still be offering in-person events like food vending from local restaurants. And, there may be some live shows announced down the line - with social distance guidelines for attendees.
