An Allentown man died two weeks after being struck by a vehicle in the city’s Franklin Park neighborhood, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said Tuesday.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A pedestrian died two weeks after being struck by a vehicle in the city’s Franklin Park neighborhood, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said Tuesday.

Jerome Bauder, 65, died Monday at 6:40 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Coroner Dan Buglio said in a news release.

Bauder's cause of death was complications of multiple traumatic injuries due to a pedestrian/motor vehicle collision, Buglio said.

He ruled the manner of death an accident.

Bauder was struck by a vehicle on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7:05 p.m. in the intersection of West Allen and North 15th streets, the release said.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
