ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A man whom firefighters pulled out of Jordan Creek in north Allentown on Wednesday afternoon was in critical condition, according to a city official.

The man, whom officials did not identify, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown spokeswoman Genesis Ortega said in a news release.

The city’s fire department responded to a possible drowning about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday after a man went into the creek but did not come back up, Ortega said.
