ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The identity of a Lehigh County man killed Monday morning when the vehicle he was operating collided with a Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority bus has been released.
Emad Kasseri, 62, of Salisbury Township died from multiple blunt force injuries a short time after the 7:50 a.m. crash near West Tilghman Street and North Ott Street in Allentown, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said.
The victim’s name was revealed in a news release Tuesday.
Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said it was determined no autopsy would be needed, and the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.
Buglio ruled the manner of death was an accident.
Kasseri's identity initially was withheld out of respect to his family and until an autopsy was completed on Tuesday to determine the cause of death, according to the coroner’s office.
He was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, about 20 minutes after the collision.
Investigating the crash were the coroner’s office, the Allentown Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
