Coroner identifies 85-year-old killed in Union Boulevard hit-and-run

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Authorities identified the victim in Thursday’s deadly hit-and-run crash on Union Boulevard as 85-year-old Elian K. Makdsi, of Allentown.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office released the name Friday.

Coroner Daniel Buglio ruled Makdsi died of blunt force injuries due to a car crash following completion of the autopsy Friday. He ruled the manner of death an accident.

Earlier Friday, police said they are continuing to investigate along with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.

“Once an arrest is made we will have a detailed media release,” said Capt. Kyle Pammer.

The hit-and-run occurred at 7:01 a.m. Thursday at Union Boulevard and Jerome Street.
