ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Trans-Bridge Lines announced Monday it soon will move its Allentown stop from the now-closed Allentown Bus Terminal to the Allentown Transportation Center.

Drop-offs and pick-ups will take place at Platform C at the Transportation Center, at 603 Linden St., according to a news release.

  • Trans-Bridge Bus Lines will move its Allentown stop to Allentown Transportation Center as of March 6
  • Allentown Bus Terminal closed on Feb. 13, but Trans-Bridge will continue to use is as its stop until moving
  • Passengers will be able to buy Trans-Bridge tickets at the Transportation Center via the LANTA ticket window across from Platform B near Dunkin’

Allentown Bus Terminal closed permanently on Feb. 13.
The building, which Trans-Bridge Lines leased from the City of Allentown, was subleased to an independent ticket agent. That agent ceased operations at that location.

“We are saddened to lose this agent, but understand that, due to personal circumstances, they are unable to operate the terminal any longer,” Trans-Bridge Lines President Tom JeBran said in announcing the closure.

Until March 6, Trans-Bridge will continue to use the Bus Terminal as its stop before it moves to the new location.

“The ATC acts as a vital transportation hub for the residents of Allentown and the surrounding area," JeBran said. "With Fullington Trailways, Martz Bus, Greyhound and LANTA already operating from the location, we felt it was a natural fit for us as well.

“We chose to make this move as a means for all transportation providers to be in one central location. We are excited about this change"

“We chose to make this move as a means for all transportation providers to be in one central location. We are excited about this change and thank the City of Allentown and LANTA for their assistance in making this relocation possible. We appreciate their cooperation in working with our operations team.”

Passengers will be able to buy Trans-Bridge tickets at the Transportation Center via the LANTA ticket window across from Platform B near Dunkin’.

“This location will offer our passengers an easily accessible location," Director of Operations Mark Ertel said. “The hub offers protection from inclement weather, 24-hour on-site security, and a parking garage attached to the terminal.”
