PALMER TWP., Pa. - An Easton Area school bus collided with a car in Palmer Township on Tuesday morning, but none of the 30 students aboard it was hurt, police said.

  • An Easton Area School District bus collided with a car Tuesday morning
  • None of the 30 students aboard were injured, but were checked by the high school nurse
  • The car's driver was treated at the scene for a minor leg injury

Because the bus was in condition to drive, it took the students to the high school, where they were examined by the school nurse, Palmer Police Officer Jim Alercia said.

The driver of the Honda Civic that collided with the bus had a minor leg injury and was treated by Suburban EMS on site, Alercia said.
The crash happened at about 7:15 a.m. on Tatamy Road at Walter Avenue and Northwood Avenue.

The sedan was traveling north on Tatamy Road when the bus, driving westbound on Northwood, made a left turn and collided with the sedan.

The bus pushed the car into a tree-line embankment on the side of the road, Alercia said.

    Police are investigating the crash.
