WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — Meet Sarah, the always-smiling 5-year-old hound mix seeking a loving, active home where she can spread holiday cheer.
This easy-going hound and Brittany Spaniel mix is just under 52 lbs. and came to Peaceable Kingdom when her owner could no longer care for her due to an illness.
Sarah is truly a delight to be around!
She walks well on the leash and is fully house trained. She responds well to commands - especially when she’s rewarded with treats (like a true hound dog)!
Because of her love of food, she could use help dropping a few of those extra pounds in her new home.
She would make a great companion to an owner or couple who can make her health and diet a priority. And she would also make a wonderful addition to a family with children who can play with her and keep her active.
Sarah is somewhat selective about her friend group and feels more comfortable around dogs who are smaller than she is.
She can be cat-tested if requested.
Sarah has a growth on her leg that will need to be removed before she can be officially adopted. Her surgery will happen very soon but we are accepting foster-to-adopt applications to help get Sarah out of the shelter as soon as possible so she can spend the holidays with her new family.
