North Jersey born but Lehigh Valley raised, I started my journalism career right here in the Lehigh Valley working at WFMZ-TV for about 7 years. After that, I spent 14 years working for television news stations in North Carolina focusing on digital and social media content. I’ve covered a variety of stories for digital and social audiences including presidential campaign events, days-long severe weather events, civil unrest & protests, the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia and tourism in Iceland. Being back in the Lehigh Valley as the director of digital for LehighValleyNews.com is an exciting opportunity to provide digital news content to the community that raised me. An hour of “chemical-free horticultural hijinks,” this popular program has been on PBS39 since 2018. From 1993 through 1997, Mike was the regular gardening expert on the weekend edition of The Today Show, Saturday mornings on NBC. He has also appeared on Nova, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, PBS Healthweek, CNN, FOX and as a regular contributor on the weekly PBS TV series Your Organic Garden and the Discovery Channel’s Home Matters.

I’m the lead audio producer for 91.3 WLVR. I got my start in radio almost a decade ago spinning jazz records in my hometown of Sacramento, Calif. I went on to work for numerous podcasts, talk shows, fund drives, and music programs for public radio and television stations across the country from San Francisco to Atlanta -- and now here in the Lehigh Valley in Bethlehem, Pa. You can catch me playing in a jazz club or hear my voice every weekday from 4 to 8 p.m. on WLVR.

I am a digital news content producer for LehighValleyNews.com. My passion is telling stories that humanize and empower communities undercovered by the mainstream media. I attended graduate school at Columbia Journalism School and Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, where I wrote about the South Asian community, juvenile justice and housing.
