Heads up! Here are 5 things you want to know today.

BETHLEHEM. Pa. — What comes the day after love? Why, Singles Awareness Day, of course.

If you weren't feeling Valentine's Day yesterday (which we totally get), why not take today to celebrate you?

Booed up or not, you can light a candle this evening, treat yourself to some yummy food, and enjoy the best relationship in the world: the one you have with yourself.

1. Our special report is out: Life in the Lehigh Valley. And as a whole, it looks like things may be looking up.

“I would not trade the Lehigh Valley or the Bethlehem of today for the Bethlehem of 1982 when I was coming out of high school,” said Don Cunningham, the city’s former mayor.

“People tend to forget we had high unemployment. We had a really bad environment. The air stunk from Bethlehem Steel. The river was dirtier.”

2. ArtsQuest is seeking photos of your local hometown hero for an annual Memorial Day exhibition.

3. The Lehigh Valley is in the middle of an affordable housing crisis, but that doesn't mean building new apartments will be easy. Ryan Gaylor has the details on a controversial apartment complex that would be half in Allentown and half in Bethlehem.

4. It's not all bad news though. In fact, Easton is getting some paw-sitively good news. That's right, click here if you want to see a photo of some furry friends.

5. Are you a Worldle addict? Now, LehighValleyNews.com has its own Wordle, so you can get twice the brain training. Check out that and more under our "Distractions" vertical.
